Local Dakka OT Resident is huge troll, hugely successful

In late breaking news this evening, it was reported that Dakka Dakka resident Mdlbuildr is currently the most successful troll in the Off-Topic area.

The denizens of the Off-Topic area (well known for it's heated discussions about topics ranging from firearms to US politics to firearms) were thrown into a tizzy with Mdlbuildr's bold stratagem of posting an idea, then stating he never posted the idea, and then blaming everyone else who called him out on it of lacking reading comprehension.

One of our intrepid reporters, A Real Guy, caught up with Mdlbuildr to ask him about his success.

"You see, it's actually quite simple, Guy. I'm a little surprised no one really thought of it sooner. All you have to do is post outlandish ideas, and then simply repeat that you don't understand why people don't read what you're saying. Of course, they are reading what you're saying, which infuriates them - it's beautiful!" Mdlbuildr chuckled to himself.

"You got your amateur trolls. They come into the OT, and they immediately start an inflammatory topic on day one, really hot out the gate. They use phrases like SJWs, which is something you have to work up to. When the moderators start to notice what they're doing, they immediately claim it's a vast liberal conspiracy to censor them, and then the next thing you know, they're restricted to posting flamebait in the Nuts & Bolts forum, of all places. Too fast, too soon." Mdlbuildr advises.

"The secret is, you have to play on posters good nature. You have to never let them know for sure if you are being intellectually dishonest, or if you just legitimately don't understand anything and are confused! I don't know why it works, I mean, you would think that people just assume you understand how to critically read stuff. I guess people want to believe the best about people, and this is a great hook to hang your bait onto." said Mdlbuildr.

When asked about his future plans, Mdlbuildr smiled slyly. "Maybe I'll post in that Firearms thread asking why Americans need all those guns for anyway" he said with a laugh.
